Your reward is added to your account shortly after the scan is detected. Every bag earns TrashieCash, and certain bags unlock larger milestone bonuses as you continue sending bags.

Rewards are not based on the quantity or quality of items inside the bag. As long as your bag is successfully dropped off and scanned, you’ll receive the TrashieCash reward associated with that bag.
